Motorcyclist Killed in Crash With SUV in Clarksville

A motorcyclist died after colliding with an SUV on the evening of May 28 in Clarksville. The fatal accident happened on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, near Rufus Johnson Road.
A motorcycle and SUV collided. It is unknown what caused the crash. Authorities initially reported injuries, but later confirmed the motorcyclist died while en route to Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital. He was an active-duty soldier stationed at Fort Campbell. Police said the driver of the SUV was injured but is expected to survive.
The crash shut down all northbound lanes of MLK Parkway between Madison Street and Rufus Johnson Road for several hours while the Clarksville Police Department’s Fatal Accident Crash Team investigated the scene. The roadway later reopened. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
